Week 1 Day 3
Well, I was very surprised with today's workout. I think it went to well. Allow me to explain. The first two exercises, I only did 8 reps of each. I could have done 10-12 to be honest. However, by the time I got to the third exercise I was struggling to do the 8. Static Arm Curls: you keep one arm at 90 degrees while with the other, you do a curl. I had to up it to the green band! I was even able to do the BONUS ROUND! Next week, I will try 10 reps for each exercise and see what happens.
With that being said, I had some VERY thick, feeling legs from yesterdays workout. To make it matters worse, I say blessing, the men's restroom is up a flight of steps, so I got to stretch/workout my legs. It was a pleasurable pain. :shrugs:
YARD TALK
Well, my wife wanted me to roto-till the garden. I got that done in just a few minutes thanks to the use of my father-in-laws tiller. I was not sure how deep my wife needed it tilled, so I dropped the depth leg as high as it would go. I think she will be ok with that. :winks:
I had a dog that decided to urinate on a 55 pound bag of malted barley. Yeah, I was NOT happy! So I put it in a trash can and was waiting to mix it into the garden. HOLY COW! That was a VILE smell! Week old grass clippings smell better than that. The fact I had to mix it into the dirt was not fun! The smell!!!
Still need to re-lay the rock around the pond. We are trying to have a cookout this weekend. Doing charcoal chicken with a vinegar-sage marinate. Talk about CRACK! WOW!!! That is some good eats! With salty potatoes and cedar cheese bread! Only thing needed is a GOOD beer! (just happen to have a few gallons of that)
We also need to stain the fence and the deck. The deck was put up last summer so that is very important to get done this year. We need/want to get that all done before we have our sons graduation party in June.
BEER TALK
The Munich Helles is fermenting away nicely. Too nicely I think. I see a little beer in the bottom of my chest freezer. The fermentation must have kicked up a little.
My Bell's Two Hearted Ale clone is doning fine with the dry hopping as well. OH! I might be able to have that for this weekend! SCORE! If you have never had a Bell's Two Hearted Ale beer, it is hoppy, but not bitter. Just a GREAT hop nose and taste. Oh! The hop burps are the best! Those always put a grin on my face.
