Plyometrics! Yeah, right! With my right knee acting up on me Friday, I did what I could today. I went as hard as I could, which was not very hard at all. I started to sweat and was sucking air. Near the end of the routine, I had to back off a little. My wonderful knee.
Even though I did not do all the exercises, Squat Jacks, when I had to bend my knees, I tried to make sure I had a 90* angle going on with my legs. As of right now, my legs feel fine. I will have to reserve my judgment until tomorrow morning!
Meals are going good. Eat about the same thing every day. Not very exciting, but it sure it easier to figure out what to eat. I am eating green peppers, 2 serving to be exact. I still get a little groggy feeling, even after lunch sometimes. My workout are fine though. Guess I will keep plugging away.

Week 6 Day 1
Came home Friday from work and twisted my knee. It made a soft cracking sound, like popping your knuckles. It didn't hurt at all, felt kind of good actually. Saturday I woke up and my knee was aching! So I did not do exercises this weekend. I popped a LOT of ibuprofen and rested my knee. Late Saturday I could not even bend my knee all the way into 90*.
So on to today. I saw some big changes again. Well, with Ab Ripper. The resistance did not go so well. I try to do 8-10, getting 10 more often than not. Today however, I was lucky to see 8! So, I did what I could and shrugged it off. I was worried about Ab Ripper, but there was no need.
I did the first two exercises without stopping! Ok. First 1 1/2. Reverse Bicycle, killed me. Had to take a break on reverse, but I got them done. Heels To Heaven is still murder on me as is Hip Rock & Raise! Mason Twist, I was able to knock out 20 before having to take a break! Normally, I was lucky to see 10.
Don't know if this is good or bad news, but I was never hungry today. The weather was not bad either, so that was not the problem. I had peas, green beans, cottage cheese and cantaloupe at 8:30. By 11:00, lunch time, I was still filled. I ate anyway. As I write this, it is 5:05 pm, 5 min late to dinner, and I am still feeling good. I will take that as a good sign?!?

Week 5 Day 4
YOGA!
Love this exercise the most. I started off hating the first half and like the second. Now it has turned. I LOVE the first half and tolerate the second. I have noticed a difference also. I am more flexible. On the hamstring stretch, I am grabbing my heel and having to pull to get a little stretch in my hamstring.
Don't remember the name, but you stand on one leg, lift the other and extend your arms forward or to your side. That one is easier to do as well. There are a few where you have to extend your arms straight. I am not there... YET. When you raise your leg, doing Vinyasas, I can now get the leg higher than what I did when I started.
I had to force myself to do this exercise. My legs are still achy from Plyometrics that I did Tuesday. Glad I did Yoga. I feel like a million dollars now!!!
Still hate the fact that Tony does not keep the same pace on ALL exercises. Oh well, MODIFY!!!

Week 5 Day 3
HOLY COW! Did I get worked out today! For starters, Ab Ripper tore me up good today. Don't know why. I was inches away from wanting to just stop for the day. But, I didn't. Had a rough time with In and Outs. Last 5 REALLY hurt!
Then doing Back and Biceps, my biceps were on FIRE!!! It went rather fast though. I looked up and there was 25 min left in the workout. Found another exercise I don't like, Corn Cob Pull Ups. I think it is more that my head is REALLY close to a sharp corner and I am afraid I will hit it. The Towel Pull Ups were kind of cool. Akward, but different.
Got some serious munchies doing Ab Ripper. I will have to monitor that to make sure I don't BONK!
Yoga tomorrow. Can't WAIT!!!

Week 5 Day 2
Can you say, "Not feeling it today!"?
Well, I sucked it up and did Plyometrics anyway as scheduled. There was a few times I wanted to just walk away. I got light headed, from breathing like a freight train, twice. Slowed my breathing down and everything was good. Never had to hit PLAY other than to run the video, I was very glad about that today!
For those who might be new, today is DAY 30!!! Time to remeasure and reweigh myself. So lets look at those numbers:
Day 0 Day 30
Weight: 231.5 lbs 216.5
Neck 15.25” 15”
Chest 43” 41.25”
Waist 44” 41”
Hips 41” 39.75”
R Bi 13” 13”
L Bi 13” 13”
R Thigh 23.5” 22.5”
L Thigh 23.5” 22.5”
R Calf 15” 14.5”
L Calf 15” 14.5”
Small changes, nothing to major. If you look at my face from Day 0 to Day 30, there is a small difference. Changed my meals to a 40/40/20. Good thing I like my veggies. There is a LOT of them.
Knee felt REAL good today! I pushed it some, but paid careful attention to it. After workout, I took a few ibuprofen, just to be safe!

Week 5 Day 1
Well, let's play a little catch up...
Week 4 Day 6 (Saturday)
Did my yoga. Everything was good. Struggled with yoga belly 7, as usual. Getting better though. Had a brew club get-together. I did pretty good food wise. For dinner I had 2 ribs, there was some meat on them, some beans with a little bacon in it, I figured that helped make up the protein. Luckily there was raw veggies, carrots, radishes, green peppers, cauliflower. Got a nice helping. When I would go by the table, I would grab a veggie to munch. There was corn with some kind of cheese.
Then of course there was BEER! Not that stuff you get a case for under $15, but GOOD beer! I held back. I sampled, 1-2 ounces each, of 10 different beers, making that about 2 beers. However, there was this one beer that stood out and was YELLING for me to drink it! A Founder's Breakfast Stout clone. 10% ABV. WOW! What an awesome beer, if you like the taste of coffee! I got another pull of that, about 4 ounces! That pretty much did it for that. Oh, there was a cookie pie, looks like a giant chocolate chip cookie. I had a 1" x 1/2" bit of it. Yeah, that called me too!
Sunday, was Father's day. Happy (belated) Father's Day to all you father's out there!
I got to get in about 4 hours of Oblivion on the 360! Oh man! That was SO much FUN!!! Funny though, for playing for 4 hours, not much got accomplished. Play it yourself and you will see. L-O-N-G game, but worth EVERY penny of it!
Which brings us to today! My pecs got a GOOD workout today. One exercise had me scared. My muscles were tired and weak and I was supposed to do an inverted "V" push up? Yeah, right on my head, or so I thought COULD happen. It didn't. It flew by pretty quick though. Definitely there is a LOT of room for improvement.
Ab Ripper, still the same hatred there. I did 25 non stop for a few more exercises, but the reverse bicycle got my, what I am assuming, hip flexor muscles. Felt it good in Mason Twist as well. Also, the Heels Toward Heaven really tore into me. Did I hit PLAY a lot? Uh, Y-E-S!!! =-)
OH YEAH! Almost forgot. The shorts I wore to the party Saturday looked really bad on me. I seem to have lost some weight, so they were baggy and I had to losing my belt a little more than normal, so as not to bunch up the material making it look like I was wearing my big brother's clothes. And the biggest news! I wanted to wait till tomorrow, but couldn't!!! I have a pair of work shorts I had to retire. Just a little small. Tried them on and they fit pretty good. Maybe even better than when I first bought them.
Now let me get this straight, as I think about this. I was going to the gym, USA Gym, about 9 months ago. In the few months my son and I went, I did not see ANY results like I have with P90X! So does this program work? Well, YES, duh!!! Within 2 weeks I went down in chest, waist and hips. I will check my measurements tomorrow. I should do it tonight. (I just gotta know...)
